110 LN Recursive Process

I chose to do the timeline and webbing form of the pre-writing methods. This technique helped me to organize my thought and ideas for the upcoming literacy snapshot assignment. I was able to get an idea of how I wanted my writing to be formatted, identify what was necessary to include, and holistically look at my previous schooling events in order to see how I have been influenced by them. The timeline helped me to directly see the important parts of my education, and the webbing method allowed me to identify how one specific elementary teacher had influenced me in ways beyond an elementary level classroom. This activity was helpful to get a sense of how to begin the assignment as well as organizing my ideas.

 

Revision Process

Having multiple people edit my writing through peer editing was a positive thing that helped enhance my writing. Getting a second look at my writing by another individual who was able to notice little details of how I can improve, grammatical errors, and ways to advance my essay was a way I able to advance my writing. Also by highlighting my writing in class with multiple colors for analysis and personal stories was a way for me to look at my writing holistically and see which areas needed more detail, and which needed to be edited. My writing was advanced in positive ways because of these processes as they have helped my writing in many ways.
