Throughout my Lifespan Development class, we are given on a weekly basis, different articles that we must read, annotate, and respond to. During these assignments I display my critical reading and writing skills, as well as, active reading and writing skills throughout my annotations. Once I complete the reading and annotations, we are given questions to answer in an essay style. The questions given help develop further skills in our learning outcomes such as, integrating ideas of others in proper ways and correct MLA citations. Since we answer the questions in an essay style, we must integrate the ideas from the source properly and cite it correctly as well. Similarly to my Lifespan Development class, my Introduction to Psychology assigns similar assignments and allows me to use my English learning outcomes even more. Each week for homework we are given multiple questions to answer, some are personal choice, other are a response to  TED talks or another article. Throughout these assignments, I am able to critically and actively read the articles through annotations and respond to the articles in different ways, using the learning outcomes. With the TED talks, I am able to integrate this type of source into my writing in different ways, while developing more MLA citation skills in my writing. Many of the learning outcomes we have been working on in English 110 have followed over into my other classes. These are two classes that I specifically use annotation, active reading, citations, and interpreting ideas frequently within the assignments. The quality of my assignments have improves from the activities we have completed in English 110. The picture I have attached shows some of the annotation work I had done on one page of a Lifespan Development article we had to read. I make comments to show the main point of that sentence, underline important things, and write out questions that allow me to question the text. I will also make connections to the text throughout the annotations to show my understanding on that topic and how it can relate to what I know or have experienced.
